The Main Scientific and Research Activities are Focused on: | Ft.Tul.cz

  • Nanofibers and nanomaterials: in this area, we solve practical and theoretical problems of electrospinning (DC and AC) and the preparation of nanofibrous layers. The main directions include: preparation of polymer solutions, polymer compounds, development of texture carriers, production of patterned, 3D or aligned nanofibrous materials, production of nanofibrous yarns with defined number of twists and/or with define number of fibers, preparation of carbon nanofibers, production of thin composite materials reinforced with nanofibers, production of bi-component (core-shell) nanofibers, basic physical description and simulation of electrostatic spinning. A separate area is represented by the design and production of mechanical, electronic equipment, lines and elements. The main application research is focused to prodution and testing of materials for tissue engineering.
  • Nonwovens: this area is focused on searching for new methods of nonwoven production and derived products, as well as the possibilities of utilizing the existing technologies for new applications. The most significant areas include development of mattresses for long-laying patients, recycled textile materials, development of sandwiches resistant to high temperatures and special filters for highly clean operations, as well as for special applications or description of capillary effects using simulations.
