Schedule of 3D Weaving Course | Ft.Tul.cz

The main objective of the course is to provide the basic on both theoretical and practical aspects of 3D woven fabric structures and their construction. The course of 3D weaving creates an opportunity to try weaving of 3D multi-warp, multi-weft, and multiple woven fabrics. Students will work individually with CAD systems for processing of 3D woven fabric construction and then will weave resulting 3D woven fabrics on the rapier weaving machine with an electronic jacquard shedding mechanism. Participants will try working with natural materials: cotton, flax, hemp, as well as special materials: glass, basalt, kevlar.
